To become a fictional character.

There are a lot of fictional characters that it'd be fantastic to be. Characters with powers anywhere from stopping time to being able to create life. There are also characters with fantastic positions in life, from Fist King to Holy Emperor. It'd be amazing to be any of those, despite having many hardships in their lives. Hardships aren't exactly fun, and I'd prefer to avoid them, but having awesome abilities and great positions in life negates that to an extent.

So, for me, I'd like a character who has some really cool powers, has a nice position and doesn't deal with too much painful stuff in their life. I'd probably have to go with Giorno Giovanna - One of the most powerful characters in all of fiction with the ability to trap anyone in a never-ending limbo of death and rebirth, Giorno by far has power enough to be desired. He can also turn non living objects into living things (Turning a shoe into an armadillo, for example). And as for his position in life, he's the head of the Italian Mafia and friend to all people. A great guy with great power both ability-wise and influence-wise. I'd have to deal with some excruciating stuff, but i'd pull through.

Who would I be??

If I had to choose which fictional character to be, the choice would not be an easy one. There are so many characters that are masterpieces of their author, in that they will most likely supersede time and continue to be relatable for generations to come.
However, if I had to make a choice, it would be Arthur from the children's books and TV show (blast from the past!)
The reason why I chose this is because I think he represents the "Everyman" that was so popular in the morality plays of old; in fact, I've been able to relate to him for years.
Also, he has such good relationships with his friends -- from the insecure rich girl Muffy to the misunderstood bully Binky) -- and family. And even when those relationships are in danger, he always finds some way to make it better. The perfect example is when he manages to rebuild his and Buster's friendship (after Buster got back from traveling the world) by throwing a party to watch his travel slides.
I've just recently started watching "Arthur" again and I'm constantly amazed at how complex and mature (but not inappropriate) it is. And since he is so relatable to all people, I hope it doesn't go away for a long time.

Shake and Bake

If I had choice over any fictional character there is no question I would be Ricky Bobby from Talladega Nights in the first 45 minutes of the movie. Every thing about his life is awesome. He's got a hot wife, a hilarious best friend, crazy children who would keep me entertained, and he's rich. If you really break it down Ricky Bobby is living the Dream. However, he's not one of those boring frugal rich people who saves all their money, no he goes out buys a mansion and what ever else he can. He also has a loving mom who would be nice to be with. The best thing however about Ricky Bobby is that he's so good at what he does he could care less what other people think about him so he uses his power to dominate everyone else. So yeah for the first part of the movie Ricky Bobby is pretty much the ideal person to want to be.

Character

I consider fiction to be the apex of writing. That being said, this is a difficult choice. If I could be any fictional character I would be Gandalf from the Lord of the Rings. Gandalf is a very powerful wizard. He can conjure spells and produce magic. He is wise and knowledgeable. He is always smart in his decision making. He lives in Middle-Earth, which is possibly the most fascinating and wonderful fantasy world ever created. Most importantly he carries a staff. That staff is absolutely awesome and powerful. Gandalf has and amiable attitude to most of those who are not his foe. He shows no mercy for his foes and is relentless in his quests. Gandalf travels all over Middle-Earth and witnesses its many ages. He aids in the quest of the ring bye helping to fight Sauron while Sam and Frodo deliver the ring to Mt. Doom. Most importantly, Gandalf can appear wise, powerful, knowledgeable, focused, relaxed and meditative while sits down for a smoke on his massive pipe. In addition, he can blow various figure made of smoke with magic. Gandalf is one fictional character I would enjoy being.

My hero

If I could be any fictional character, it would be Ron Burgandy, from anchorman. This man pretty much has it figured out in that all he does is worry about how he looks that day, chills with his friends, beats up opposing news teams, and pulls hoes. More importantly, who wouldn't want to look that well groomed all the time, or be able to do 1000 dumbbell curls. And who doesn't wish they had a dog who would talk to them and save them from bears? Yes, Ron has it figured out.

This is so difficult.

I have seen far too many movies and TV shows and read too many books to truly decide what fictional character I would choose to be above any other. But I do know one character that would be a strong competitor: Hannah Montana. Let's be real here, more people would want to be Hannah Montana than the number of who are willing to admit it. It's not just little girls; people of any age or gender would love to live a double life, one of which which include being rich and famous. Yes, Miley Cyrus is right about it being the "best of both worlds." You can have trustworthy friends and live your life without a spotlight when you want, or you can step out on the stage and be the center of attention with millions of adoring fans. I would love to be a famous singer and afford all the clothes I want, but I wouldn't have to give up a normal life if I lived like Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana.

VAMPIRE MANIA

If I could be any fictional character I would be Edward Cullen. Why I would ever want to be a pale sparkly vampire you ask? I do because he is loved by all girls for absolutely no reason, and he is a vampire, who wouldn't want to live forever and be able to suck peoples blood. All Edward Cullen does is go to high school hundreds of times and find interesting girls to save and later ruin their lives. He fights werewolves over a girl, no exact reason but he gets to do it and wins because he is just that awesome. Edward can fly, run super fast, and has super strength, this is unheard of for not just vampires but most super heros. And throughout all of this destruction of young ladies lives, everyone loves him. He is the modern day super hero but he gets all the ladies. That is why he would be the first fictional character I would choose.

Blog Time?

This is one of those questions that are so broad, and have so many good answers, that devoting to one is tough to do. If I had to chose, though, I'd definitely be Tony Stark from Iron Man. Firstly, and most prominently, I kind of own a high tech metal suit that lets me fly and fire lasers, etc. What makes this preferable over actual superheroes? Well, everyone already knows he's Iron Man, so there's most of the stress of superheroing gone right there. He also has a huge amount of money and a lot of intelligence in the fields of engineering, etc. (which I'm interested in).
Another perk to being Iron Man is there's not a lot of change to my normal life. If I wanted to be someone in a different time period, location, or with highly strange conditions, I'd have to adjust to that, but the life of Tony Stark is basically my life plus a lot of money and a huge metal robot suit.
Who wouldn't want to be Iron Man?

The easy way out (aka. Ian Fleming was a mastermind))

I would totally be James Bond. Not only does Bond fight crime, kick ass, and work out of the office, he's also an absurdly talented lady-killer, a skilled poker expert, and the man of a million gadgets. Most of my days would consist of saving the world from villains trying to *wait for it* TAKE OVER ZE WORLD, but other days I would probably be assigned to some remote mildly populated island along with a few women and a casino (this is my dream life after all). That's not all though: the entire time, I'm backed by an absolute killer sound track coming completely from no where. It's probably some sort of jazzy ballad dedicated to my sheer awesomeness, but it could very easily be my heavy surf rock-esque theme song. Other pros include never dying (apparently), mad marksmanship, and a steady supply of champagne that can be procured anytime and anywhere. If I could be any character, James Bond would be my go-to guy.

YOU SHALL NOT PASS!

Gandalf the White: a wizard, Balrog-slayer, guide of the Fellowship of the Ring, and an overall badass.

Although I don’t think dying and then reincarnating as Gandalf the White would be a fun experience, being Gandalf would fulfill all of my fantasy-world fantasies.

With his staff, Gandalf can cast a multitude of spells. The simpler ones are things like illumination and the ability to call the Lord of the Eagles and Horses – they’d be immensely useful in any sort of situation. He can also push his enemies back telekinetically with his staff, valuable against orcs and Uruk-Hai, and especially against frail evil wizards, like Saruman. Gandalf also has some greater spells, as Gandalf the White. Who wouldn’t want to be able to shoot lightning at his foes, or blast hordes of troops in all directions?

Gandalf has traveled across all of Middle-Earth, from The Shire to Mordor, and everywhere in between. New Zealand- I mean, Middle-Earth, is beautiful, and I would pay anything to be able to take in the breathtaking landscapes and ancient architecture. I would be able to lead a group of dwarves (and Bilbo) to defeat Smaug, and aid the Fellowship in the Siege of Gondor, felling legions of Sauron’s henchmen.

I’ve always played the wizard or mage whenever I get the chance, and Gandalf is the epitome of wizardry; he might have actually been the one to start my preference for magic-wielders – although arrows or swords are useful, spells are much more flexible. Gandalf also exudes a certain aura – enemies fear him, but his allies always feel safer in his presence.

I would be....

The name's Bond. James Bond. Who wouldn't want to be James Bond? He travels through many different countries catching bad guys. Not one ever gets away. In Thunderball, he finds himself in France, England, and the Bahamas. As weird as it is, while in the Bahamas one winter break, my friend and I filmed our own "James Bond" movie. Personally, I think I made a wonderful James Bond. I handled every situation just as he would, with tremendous stealth. Also, Mr. Bond is extremely courageous. He never cowers away from a fight. I would love to be able to fight off any person in the World, no matter how big they might be. However, if I couldn't be James Bond, I would like to be his wife. I would be the best protected woman in the world, with a gorgeous husband, and I would get to go on amazing vacations! It would be perfect.

Lisa Simpson

An advocate for animal rights, a passionate environmentalist, and a jazz lover; Lisa Simpson would be my ideal fictional persona.

Lisa is highly intellectual and sophisticated, and many of the Simpsons’ episodes involve Lisa fighting for various causes. She is also deeply appreciative of jazz music. Seeing as we both play the saxophone (although I played Alto) we share this connection. However, even though Lisa is only eight years old, she’s already a genius--both musically and academically.

She is also a remarkable optimist, although she is faced with trouble at school and in her dysfunctional family. She reconciles with the bullies and always stays loyal to her parents, while also holding true to what she believes in.

Lisa Simpson is the poster child for success. If she is ever to surpass the age of eight, she would certainly be one to change the world.

But even though she is wise beyond her years, she also maintains child-like innocence as well.

Being a fictional character ain't easy

In the scores and scores of female characters found in the vast realm of fiction, it's surprisingly difficult to find a female character who, when it comes down to it, is not eventually made into a love interest, paired off with the hero, or killed in order to ensure that the hero has some form of character development. This is not by any means a bad thing, for those of you who chose characters which fall prey to those cliches, but in this case, I felt it would be best to choose a character who didn't fall prey to them, as I'm not interested in either being romanced or being dead. In this instance, I chose Jade Harley, from the webcomic Homestuck. I would like to be Jade for many reasons. For one, she lives by herself on an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Well, not entirely by herself. She does have a radioactive omnipotent dog to guard her, along with a bunch of mummies in the basement. How cool is that? What's more, she's one of the four kids on Earth who get to play Sburb (and, due to this, is one of the only four kids on Earth who doesn't die from meteor-related complications). Despite all this, however, she remains cheerful and upbeat. I'd like to be like that and keep a happy face throughout all the bad times there are, even if they're never as bad as meteors destroying Earth. Furthermore, since she's the Hero of Space, she gets to run around collecting frogs, not just because finding frogs is fun (which it is), but because it's part of her job in creating a new universe. And later on, thanks to Space powers, she gets to ascend to a vastly higher level of power, which allows her to take multiple planets and make them all about the size of baseballs. Overall, I think that it would be pretty cool to be Jade Harley, thanks to the cool powers and the cool dog. And hey, even if there is romance eventually in the story, she isn't being set up solely as someone's romantic interest. She has thoughts, feelings, and narcolepsy, just like regular people would. Except for the narcolepsy part.

fiction shmiction

There are so many characters in fiction, do i choose fantasy, or perhaps comics? Many characters appeal to me but the one i would most like to be would most definitely have to be Sir Galahad (i hope he counts) sir Galahad is pure of heart, and is able to retrieve the holy grail. He is also a night of the round table, so obviously he is trustworthy enough for Arthur (except for perhaps Lancelot who is lustful). Sir Galahad is both a knight of old, and exemplifies all of the morals and ethics that i would like to display in myself. Plus being the son of Lancelot i would have to be a great fighter, which also seems like an added bonus .
Just because you dont hear about galahad as much, just means he is quiet and ponderous. i too would liek to be mysterious, but alas i am not. that is why i would only be Galahad in fiction.

characters in fiction

If I could be any fictional character I would want to be Hermionie from Harry Potter. I know that at first Hermione is the loud mouth, know-it-all but in the end she is the smartest and let's face it remembers and knows how to do like every spell ever. Who wouldn't want to be able to do that?! Cast a spell wheneverever you need to turn onaround the lights or clean your room or find sonething or cook or anything really. That would be so epic. And even though she gets made fun of because she's smart I already get made fun of everyday for my hair so I would be used to that, moving new. In addition she has best of both world's when it comes to her parents. Not only are they both alive (sorry Harry) but one is a Muggle while the other is a Wizard. She has the ability to live in both worlds. To me this is really important because I believe that family is an important aspect of life. Having a strong family is something very important to me.
Hermione did indeed have amy fairly rough start at Hogwarts she eventually (after going through seven insanely difficult and hard years of danger and pressure) was able to end up marrying her best friend, Ron (who admittedly is mildly attractive and a ginger!). Who wouldn't want to marry someone who you are best friends with and get along with and who is attractive! I would love for my life to end in a beautiful happily-ever-after story book ending.

FICTIONAL CHARACTER!!

If I was to be any fictional character, hmm, I would be Penny from The Big Bang Theory. Penny is very perky and reminds me of myself. Quite honestly, I do not want to be a different person nor have super powers. It would be an honor to live across from the phycisists Leonard Hoffsteader and Sheldon Cooper. Penny is not as intelligent but always wishes to be involved with the geniuses. I would love to live across the hall from two geniuses and just witness their social strife.

Penny works at the Cheesecake Factory and is inspiring to be an actress. I do not think a predictable life is entertaining, so I would love to live on the edge, very much like Penny. I also envy the fact that Penny has such reliable friends. Leonard and Sheldon would do anything for Penny; the first day she moved in, Leonard went to get her television from her ex boyfriend. Leonard was very courageous and even after having his clothes confiscated by the exboyfriend was still her friend. I would be honored to live the hilarious life of Penny!

I be a crazy spy nninnjaaa

As much as I am resisting any Harry Potter or Hunger Games characters (can I PLEASE just be all of them) I would say that the fictional character I would most like to be is without a doubt Jason Bourne. I mean who wouldn't want to be a crazy badass spy that's being hunted by every national government in the world? AND I get to beat them all by using my insane ninja skills to outsmart them, AND I get to be Matt Damon....trifecta much? On top of all of this I am basically the smartest person who ever lived, I can speak every language in the world, I had a hot girlfriend until she died (very unfortunate), plus I can't remember my life before this which means I get to completely start over. I can do the most insane stuff, I always go on these crazy high speed car chases, I kill people, and I fight for my rights and the things I believe in. Finally, the way I decided to end my third movie was pretty cool so with all that said I would like to be Jason Bourne.

Character

There are so many choices in characters that I would love to be, but let’s face it, being Bruce from Bruce Almighty may just be the best choice. First off, I would get to play God for a while. I mean come on, you get all the power in the world, plus some; what could be cooler than that? You could build whatever you want, whenever you want; you could fly around and go wherever you want; or you could go through time and do things over. The latter may be the best power in the world. If you screw something up, go back in time briefly and fix it. Want to kill Hitler? Consider him dead. Although that might mess with history a bit… You can literally have any power that you want. To top it off, there are literally almost no drawbacks, plus you get to steal Jim Carrey’s appearance.

fictional character

If I could be any fictional character, I would totally be Allie from the Notebook, my absolute favorite movie ever. She's the lead female role in the movie who falls in love with Noah (Ryan Gosling). I mean really, who could resist him? She's also smart, driven, and carefree. She has an idyllic charming southern life with two loving parents who only want the best for her. Basically she has everything she could ever need, but she's missing something really exciting her life. That is, until she meets Noah. She has the summer of her life with him, but then it comes time for her to go to college and they must go their separate ways, much to their heart's dismays. Allie then goes to a perfect little college and transforms into a lady, but something is still missing, and that something is Noah. Her heart eventually leads her back to him though through many dramatic ups and downs, and they spend the rest of their lives together. I realize it may sound quite cheesy, but I've literally watched this movie countless times and I still cry every single time at the end when they die together. I guess I feel like you never really see that kind of love anymore today. That, and the fact that I think old age is the saddest thing ever. Anyways, I've always being envious of the life Allie's character leads with her spark and charm.

Fictional Character

I saw a few post back how someone wanted to be James Bond. Well that's alright, I get it. He is suave, dangerous, sexy. He can have all the women in any room he walks into. He gets to travel all over the world and always saves the day. However, during the day, Bond's life is pretty crappy. Someone is always trying to kill, maim, rape, or mutilate him. Half of the time those sexy women are actually deadly assassins or spies in their own right. No being James Bond carries far to much risk for me. Who then would I want to be? Easy, Cliff Huxtable from the Cosby Show.
Why Cliff? First off, he is hilarious. He can make people laugh be just making a face at them. He is a comedy icon. Who doesn't like to make people laugh. Also, he is surrounded by funny people. He has the most ridiculously cute daughter ever put on the planet, who can make thousands laugh just by saying "Bud".
He is also very rich. He is a doctor, but he delivers babies which is pretty decent as far as being a doctor. His wife is a successful lawyer. They have nice brunches and are invited to numerous social events befitting their station. He is able to send all of his children to college, even if they don't always take advantage. He has a lovely Brooklyn house that double as his office. He puts his kids into football, tap dancing, music lessons. He can participate in many auctions for paintings or rare jazz records. He has just got it made.
So thats why I would be Cliff. He is rich with beautiful wife and children.

Fictional Character

The obvious choice for me would be James Bond; well at least in the Casino Royale, and minus the one scene. If we can narrow it down to that, then he's the perfect person to want to be. He gets to drive Aston Martins at full speed on narrow roads. He gets to stay in what appears to be one of the nicest hotels ever. And all he has to do is win a poker game. Nothing says cool quit like bluffing with million dollar pieces while you're wearing an extremely expensive suit and a beautiful girlfriend to buy you drinks.
Not only that but theres also the small part about not being able to be killed. No matter how hard anyone tries to kill him they just cant do it. All he has to do is pull it his silenced pistol and drive off in his really nice car. Although I would be tempted to take a break from all the stress of constantly being better then everyone and just lay on the beach outside of that nice hotel and play the guitar or drink something fruity. I mean nobody can kill him anyway, he would see them coming before they stepped foot on the beach.

Why Superheroes Are Cooler Than Snookie

Whenever I think of fictional characters, I don't envy any of them except the ones with superhuman powers. Yes, I occasionally enjoy shows that depict normal people facing everyday challenges. But almost always any viewing experience that makes me re-experience the kind of mundane problems I've got to face on a daily basis bores me. I mean, come on, who wants to take the time to watch other people go through the same BS that plagues our everyday lives?

I surely don't, which is why my favorite shows feature characters that can do something other than get a tan on the New Jersey Shore, buy something at a pawn shop, or say yes to the dress. I want to be captivated by a viewing experience that makes me feel like I don't have to deal with everyday BS. Which explains why my favorite shows involve characters that have some sort of unique power or mission. These characters are so extraordinary that they face extraordinary challenges like "how to bring justice to the world" instead of "how to push the garbage can to the side of the house when I'm too lazy to put on my slippers."

Knowing that, it makes sense that as soon as I saw this prompt I looked up some of the my favorite super powers and found which characters had them. Because I really can't decide, here's a few:
  • Time travel--Hiro Nakamura from the T.V. show Heroes. I chose him of all the characters with this ability (surprisingly few) because I would rather be pudgy and a bit unsociable than have to fight the X-Men like Trevor Fitzroy.
  • Mind control--Lelouch Lamperouge definitely has the coolest form of mental manipulation and I also envy his apparent attractiveness considering he doesn't even need to use his mind control to get every chick to dig him.
  • Intelligence and resulting awesomeness--Tony Stark takes the cake here. We all know who he is, but I especially like him because he shows the world how ridiculously cool you could be if you were smart enough to create a new element in your basement.

Fictional Character

If I could be any fictional character it would be the avatar in Avatar: the last Airbender. In their world some people get the ability to "bend" elements in nature. They are set into the categories of earth, water, fire, and air. Usually most people are only able to manipulate one of the elements but the avatar is able to control all four. Imagine having that sort of power. You could fly or swim or create nasty damage with it. In the series, the avatar uses his power for good and to save the world, but if I had those powers now I would probably keep it secret and be selfish. I don't think I'd be up for the attention and responsibility.

In my everyday life I would use it to my advantage. Now when I wake up in the morning I won't be freezing when I get out of bed because I can heat my body up. Then when I take a shower the water doesn't get cold and when I go outside I can speed up or slow down the heat. If I was really bored I could levitate some pebbles and mess with people. The ability to walk on water and freeze things would be awesome. So basically being the avatar is having the good life.
