This is a picture of the attacks on the twin towers on september eleventh 2001. This is a lasting image in the mind of Americans, not only because of the chaos and destruction that it caused, but also for the change that it has brought upon our country. I chose this image apposed to a close up because I liked The Statue of Liberty in the fore ground. Because The Statue of Liberty is a symbol of freedom in the United States, this image evokes a strong contrast between this freedom and the destruction of nine eleven.
Since nine eleven, the biggest change has been the airport and overall security anywhere. What once was a very laid back process in the airport has now become almost scary but definitely intimidating. My life has been forever changed by one event since that day the way Americans go about their daily lives has been altered, it will always linger in our minds when we are in an airport, in New York City, or the day september eleventh is mentioned.
