God yes, technology has hurt me. I can't count the number of times I'e dropped my printer on my foot or scanned my fingers instead. In all seriousness, technology can really be harmful, even if it is supposed to make life easier. Sometimes, we depend on it so much we are left helpless when it malfunctions. People depend on it so much that there's an app for everything, as the saying goes. You can now even access your car with your phone. What's so hard about reaching into your pocket and grabbing the keys?
Sometimes I think Pixar really gets it. Wall-E seems to be showing us the future of the human race. We've been using technology so much we've become sedentary and fat. Well, I guess a lot of Americans these days are sedentary and fat, but in that movie literally everyone is a walking piece of Diabetes. There are times when I've been out eating and see kids with DVD players at the table while the parents are off on their own. There's just something totally wrong with that. Technology makes us forget other things essential to quality living, such as family time, or enjoying nature as it takes is course. We seem to fail to notice the small things in life, and don't really live. Our faces are glued to screens almost constantly, and texting has been a bad habit shared by many of us. So what I'm saying is that while technology truly does help us and improve our quality of living, it also hurts us by causing us to lose our natural disposition as living beings. We've been sucked into a virtual world of porn and music. We don't really stop and smell the flowers anymore, or look at the sky while lying on the grass, watching as time goes by.
Not only has technology made us lose sense of life, but it has also made me lose my mind recently. With the internet, now I can get onto Infinite Campus to check my grades. Well, after religiously checking it, I have concluded life sucks and rocks with technology.
