Allen

As you all know, I was fortunate enough to be seated on the island table in the middle of the room for all to see (and all because my last name begins with Y. Stop the discrimination!) Luckily, I did not have to brave this alone. Over the last few months. I have been fortunate to meet and get to know. Allen is both honest and carefree. He is very knowledgeable. He plays the violin and I assume his is very proficient considering that he was accepted to The Governor's School for the Arts (I was rejected) though I have never heard him play. I have had the opportunity to drill him on the many aspects of learning, listening, playing, sight reading, notes of the strings, and the construction of violins and composers. Needless to say, his insight has been profound. I would characterize Allen as green because (Warning: BS) he characterizes the very nature of life itself: evergrowing and silently powerful. Allen is like a Hawk because, though he is usually quiet in class, you know when he strikes.

Mary and Cameron

My seat in Ap english is interesting because of the juxtiposition (hope I spelled that correctly) of Mary and Cameron. On my right, I have mary, and my goal every day is essentially to offend her as much as possible, along with my aid from my far right seat partner, Haddon Alford. A day is not successful if I am not glared at, slapped, or otherwise shown she is fed up with my admittidly immature humor.

Cameron, on the other hand, is more of a relaxed seat partner. We don't disrupt the class much and pretty much just chill. This reflects their personalties as well. Mary is very quick to be offended and can be extremely hyper and unpredictable at times. Cameron, on the other hand is a more relaxed guy and, unlike Mary, is not offended by things he shouldn't be.

Charlie "The Floman" Flomenhoft

I have had the pleasure of sitting next to Charlie this year in English class. Though I do not know much about Charlie before high school, we are still very good friends. Charlie and I also have Latin class directly after English, so fifth and sixth hours are a Charlie fest. He is a very sociable, smart, and fun guy; he makes English class much more fun than if I did not sit next to him. Charlie loves long walks on the beach, riding pretty ponies, and his favorite color is pink, which he has told me that is room is all pink and his dream car is a bright pink mini cooper. Contrary to popular belief the idea "E=MC^2" was actually made my Charlie and when he was five years old he proved how "2+2=5" through a series of logarithms. His parents both went to Harvard and I am expecting that he also plans to attend there as well, that is unless he skips college and becomes a professional curler right out of college. Hopefully, I will continue to learn more about Charlie this year and have classes with him next year.

Dylan Sarkisian - MY lover

Dylan Sarkisian is the most sociable and funny mother trucker. Everyday, we have a good ol' time in Mr. Logsdon's class. I will tickle his arm and giggle like a hyena; he finds it strange, yet, amusing. I whisper secrets to him about my fellow students and he responds, "I did not need to know that, but okay." It is quite an intimate relationship, just kidding. Dylan makes very good grades and I respect him as a person. I usually do not take too warmly to liberals, but Dylan respects opinions, so I respect him. He is involved in the Henry Clay High School community and is very devoted to Go Green Club.
In five years, I see Dyan graduating froma prestigious university with honors. Dylan has that versatile and driven personality that will take him far; so wherever he ends up,I have no doubt he will be successful. I have known Dylan for at the least five years. We went to Morton Middle School together, but we did not know each other as well as we do now. It is a blessing to sit by Dyl pickle because he lightens the mood of English. I can see Dylan as the Cheshire cat on "Alice in Wonderland." He is sly and laid back. The purple color signifies his cool mellow mood. Dylan is a nice guy, guys.

Mary Allen

Mary has always seemed to be in the majority of my classes every year. With that said, I still don't know as much as I would expect myself to know about her despite all of the class experiences. I will attempt to unveil what I do know about this Mary Allen person that sits next to me.

To get off on the right foot here, I will say that Mary is very kind. She has been put in what may be called an "unfortunate situation" with this seating chart being "stuck" between Alex and myself. While I am assumed guilty by seating arrangement, I really am not..well most of the time. Mary sits there and takes it like a champ. Whether it be a joke, a comment, an action, or whatever, Mary doesn't acknowledge what she doesn't want to acknowledge and that shows a level of self control and maturity...so props for that Mary.

Mary plays tennis and has a good sense of humor for the most part. We tend to disagree on many political topics but we also have our areas of agreement. Alex and I are there to make her Junior AP English class as interesting as possible, "in a completely professional and school appropriate way."*

Aaron Meek

When I first met Aaron Meek in Mrs. Logsdon’s biology class freshman year, I really didn’t know him at all. Now that we’re in Mr. Logsdon’s class, I know a little more than before. I know he enjoys having detailed conversations about some book series with Mr. Logsdon and he is always happy. I have never seen him upset or in a bad mood. He also has something positive to say or a joke to tell. In grading our vocabulary quizzes, we also pick out the “lucky” colored pencil color to grade in, which I believe is orange. I would also use this color to describe him because it’s bright, happy, but unique from other colors. I can’t compare Aaron to anyone else. He is his own person. While Aaron has the nickname “210” for me, I do not have a nickname for him. I should work on that. Aaron is a very chill and relaxed person and he makes English very interesting. I also admire him for his ability to sit between me and Abi without going crazy. It has been a pleasure to sit next to him this semester because he always has something interesting to say.

Palmer Thomas

This week, write about the person you sit next to in English class. What do they do? What are they like? What color would you characterize them as and why? Where do you see them in five years? What type of animal are they like?

I sit next to Palmer. Palmer likes to have fun, whether that is drawing hilarious pictures of people riding on walruses in the sky or making funny comments based on what people say in class. She is always hyper and talking to Logan at the beginning of class. It does seem like Logan is always talking to everyone based on past posts. Palmer always comes up with great, creative ideas, such as our class's dance for Arts and Humanities. I love how social Palmer is and the fact that she is always in a good mood. Literally. She is never angry or in a slightly bad mood. She will also help me with something if I need it in class. This mix of helpfulness and good attitude do make english class more enjoyable for me. I think everyone likes talking to Palmer because of her funny, social and helpful personality.
